Audio/Visual Equipment List

We provide audio/visual equipment delivery to classrooms, workshops, seminars, and meetings.

Equipment Available:


	Smart carts
	(An LCD data/video projector connected to a PC, VCR, and DVD player with speakers on a portable cart)
	- a screen may also be needed depending on the room



	Smart consoles
	(An LCD data/video projector connected to a PC, VCR, and DVD player with speakers)
	- placed in a specific room semester by semester - click here to view the current list of technology-enhanced rooms



	Videoconferencing carts
	(a motion-tracking camera attached to an IP-based videoconferencing computer)
	- used to videoconference (send 2-way video and audio) between the Brighton and Damon campuses; therefore, carts must be reserved as a pair - to videoconference with sites outside of MCC, contact Video Services



	TV/VCR carts
	(1/2" VHS)
	- Closed Captioning available upon request



	Video cassette recorders
	(1/2" VHS; outputs a TV signal for use with a TV or data projector)
	- Closed Captioning available upon request - speakers and some sort of amplification will be needed for VCR sound to be heard



	DVD players
	(outputs a TV signal for use with a TV or data projector)
	- many smart classrooms have DVD players built into the computers - speakers and some sort of amplification will be needed for DVD sound to be heard



	Portable Elmo document cameras
	(outputs a TV signal for use with a TV or data projector)



	Laptop Computers

	- directly connects to a data projector - may be connected to the college network and the internet through any network port on campus - speakers may also be needed if laptop sound needs to be heard throughout the room



	LCD data/video projectors

	- a screen may also be needed depending on the room



	Projection screens

	- check the room: most rooms already have screens



	Scan converters
	(converts a computer monitor signal so that it can be seen on a TV)



	Camcorders
	(1/2" VHS)
	- available as hand-held or on a rolling tripod cart - if you need professional videotaping services, contact Video Services



	Microphones

	- an amplifier may also be needed if there isn't already one in the room - "goose-neck" microphones are available for use with podiums



	Wireless microphones

	- for presenters who will be moving around the room - an amplifier may also be needed if there isn't already one in the room



	Amplifiers and speakers

	- many rooms already have amplification - a variety of sizes and configurations are available for different needs



	Microphone mixers
	(for requests involving multiple microphones)



	Table-top microphone stands




	Boom microphone stands





	Podiums
	(includes a built-in mic stand and reading light)
	- all classrooms already have metal table-top lecterns - podiums are available for lecture halls and event spaces



	Overhead projectors

	- pens and acetate rolls are available in departmental supply kits - a screen may also be needed depending on the room



	16 mm film projectors

	- a screen may also be needed depending on the room



	Slide projectors

	- a screen may also be needed depending on the room
